On the All Videos page, you will find all the music videos you need to help get your students Algebra ready.
Videos on this page are grouped into categories based on the math concepts covered. We've also created a complete list of all the Pre-Algebra math categories, song titles, and song descriptions, which you can view here.
View a Video/Lesson Page
When selecting a video, you will be taken to the videos lesson page where you, as a teacher, can immediately view the video. Please note that while teachers can watch videos immediately, the first time a student attempts to access a video, he or she will be asked to answer 5 Math Trivia questions to unlock the video.
Math Challenges
The lesson page is also where teachers can find every Challenge question and answer for each level for that specific video. The math Challenges are broken up into three levels, Silver, Gold, and Blue. Students advance to the next level and earn a record when they score 100% on a Challenge.
The Silver level questions are all multiple choice questions at the Basic level. The Gold level questions are multiple choice, multiple select, and a few free response questions at the Proficient level. And the Blue level questions are mostly free response questions, with a few multiple choice and multiple select questions, all at the Advanced level.
To view the Challenge Questions, click the drop-down for the level you would like to see and select the "View Challenge" option. On the View Challenge page, you will also see the accepted correct answers for the free response questions, just in case any of your students are having trouble keying in an answer. You can also take a Challenge yourself by simply clicking the Challenge drop-down you would like to take and selecting "Take Challenge."
Math Trivia
Before a student can view a video, they must first answer 5 Math Trivia questions to unlock the video. These 5 questions are taken from the Silver (Basic) and Gold (Proficient) level question pools and help provide you with a baseline measure of what the student already knows about a topic. Teachers have also found that the trivia questions are a great tool to help prep their students for some of the key concepts the video will cover.
Math Lyrics
To help encourage memorization of the lyrics, we've included a lyrics sheet for each song. There are two ways for you and your students to view the lyrics. Just above the video viewer, you will find the "Show Lyrics" button. When selected, the lyrics for that song will pop up on the right side of the video. We've also added a "Print Lyrics" option that takes you to the ready to print PDF of the lyrics sheet. These easy to print lyric sheets not only give you and your students a printout with all the lyrics to every song, they also provide ample space for your students to take notes while watching the videos. To view all of the lyrics sheets in one place, click here.
